At the Peterborough School, we have had a very successful term where we have welcomed both new staff members to the team, and new students.
Our Peterborough students have produced some fantastic work in all of their subjects; everyday seems like a bake-off television programme with our young people learning valuable life skills in the kitchen, and producing lovely cakes, meals and drinks for themselves and visitors we have had looking around the school. Construction students have been very productive, making door signs for every classroom in the school. Music students have made an excellent start to their qualifications, producing some amazing pieces of work both digitally and with instruments.
Our students have also been learning valuable practical skills around the building, helping staff to prepare an In Toto Ed -inspired feature wall in our classrooms, building the new gym equipment, and helping our Construction Teacher to work on our exams room.
Our new lunch time clubs - an idea which came from our student suggestion box - have really taken off. To date we have had music and general knowledge quizzes, games of YU-GI-OH, board games, and gym sessions.
We have been very lucky this term, with one of our parents kindly donating a VR set and gaming computer to the school. This will help immensely with lunch time clubs and IT lessons.
Finally, as we approach the end of term on Tuesday 19th December, I would like to thank everyone for their support and hard work this term, and I wish you all a happy holiday.
