Qualifications

Updated: Jul 11, 2023

This year we have been busy gaining accreditation for several different awarding bodies, to ensure we can deliver a wide range of qualifications across all three centres. We pride ourselves on offering a bespoke pathway for each of our students, which means we offer qualifications from entry level up to A-levels.

After a great deal paperwork, we are now accredited to deliver qualifications certified by AIM Qualifications, City and Guilds, NCFE, Arts Award and AQA. We have also built an exams storage facility to meet the requirements of JCQ, who are responsible for regulating British examination boards. The JCQ accreditation is particularly significant as it means we are now an accredited centre and can offer our students the opportunity to sit their GCSEs in-house, rather than at an external centre! This term will see our Year 11 cohort sitting English Language, Maths and Science examinations and revision season is now in full swing.

For our vocational qualifications, we have several visits booked in over the next two months as the External Quality Assurers (EQA) check on the work of our teachers and Internal Quality Assurers (IQA). Over the course of the year, we have brought the IQA process in-house and now have three IQAs across the organisation, allowing us to streamline the processes in place and work more efficiently. Their role is to check on the planning, teaching, and marking of the teachers and make sure everything is following the correct process. The EQA then checks that process and if they are happy with it, the students have their qualification officially signed off.

GCSE results day is on Thursday 24 August and all students who have completed vocational qualifications or GCSEs, will be invited into their centre to collect their results.
